Lassen County

Shall an ordinance be adopted imposing a transactions and use tax in the amount of one percent (1%) on all qualifying transactions in the unincorporated area of County of Lassen (not the City of Susanville), the proceeds of which could only be used for public safety (public safety is defined as Lassen County Sheriff, Fire, Lassen County Office of Emergency Services, Lassen County Probation, Lassen County District Attorney and Lassen County Code Enforcement services, including, but not limited to, the wages, salaries, benefits, training and equipment for personnel and public safety communications needs)?

(ADVISORY) Shall the Board of Supervisors of the County of Lassen establish the consolidated Office of Director of Finance, to perform the duties of Auditor, Controller, Tax Collector and Treasurer and make the office effective upon the expiration of the current term of office of those offices?

(ADVISORY) Shall the Board of Supervisors of the County of Lassen consider enacting an ordinance for permitting and regulating legally permitted commercial indoor cannabis cultivation sites in the industrially zoned unincorporated areas of Lassen County?

Shall an ordinance be adopted imposing a Cannabis Business Tax of up to $3.00 per square foot of canopy space, per year for cultivators, and up to 8% on gross receipts of all other cannabis businesses operating in the unincorporated areas of Lassen County, with funds staying in the County general fund for unrestricted general revenue purposes?

Shall an ordinance be adopted authorizing the County of Lassen to collect a three-quarters of one percent sales tax (Transactions and Use Tax) for unrestricted general revenue purposes?

(ADVISORY)If voters of the County of Lassen approve a three-quarters of one-percent general sales tax increase, should 75% of the revenue obtained from the three-quarter percent sales tax be used exclusively for public safety and added to, not replace, current public safety budget?

Shall the library special tax of $28.00 per annum currently assessed on each habitable dwelling unit within the incorporated limits of the City of Susanville, be increased to $52.00 per annum, to go into effect for the 2018-19 tax year beginning July 1, 2018, and to be used solely to operate and maintain the District?

(ADVISORY) Should Lassen County separate from the State of California and become part of a new State of Jefferson?

Shall the order adopted on December 14th, 2015 by the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Lassen ordering the formation of a District in the territory described, known as the Southern Cascades Community Services District, be approved?

Shall a measure be adopted to assess a special tax of $65 per annum per parcel regardless of the size for up to two parcels owned by each unique landowner regardless of which county the parcels are located, the special tax will be authorized only if the Southern Cascades Community Services District is formed and is collected in the same manner as taxes on real property , commencing in the fiscal year after which the voters have authorized the special tax, with the revenue to be used for local ambulance, emergency medical response and training, and any lawful purpose of the Southern Cascades Community Services District? (NOTE: Passage of a special tax shall be required for the district to be formed.)

Shall the order adopted on January 26, 2015 by the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Lassen ordering the formation of a District in the territory described, known as the Southern Cascades Community Services District, be approved?

Shall a measure be adopted to assess a special tax of $65 per annum per parcel regardless of the size for up to two parcels owned by each unique landowner regardless of which county the parcels are located, the special tax will be authorized only if the Southern Cascades Community Services District is formed and is collected in the same manner as taxes on real property, commencing in the fiscal year after which the voters have authorized the special tax, with the revenue to be used for local ambulance, emergency medical response and training and any lawful purpose of the Southern Cascades Community Services District?

Shall an additional special tax be levied for fire protection equipment replacement and fire prevention programs for the Spalding Community Services District of $65.00 per assessor's parcel, as established in resolution 2014-1?

Shall Ordinance No. 2014-004 be enacted? (The Ordinance would limit to three the number of times a person can serve as a member of the Board of Supervisors in Lassen County. The Ordinance would only apply to persons that commence a term of office after January 1, 2015. The limitation applies regardless of whether the three terms were served consecutively or not. Likewise, if a person becomes a member ofthe Board of Supervisors as a result of a special election or appointment by the Governor, an only serves a partial term, they shall be deemed, for purposes of the Ordinance, to have served a full four year term if they have served more than two years.)

Shall the order adopted on February 10, 2014 by the Local Agency Formation Commission of Lassen County ordering the formation of a Community Services District in the territory described, known as the Southern Cascades Community Services District, be approved? (NOTE: Formation of the District is contingent upon approval of an accompanying special tax measure.)

Shall a measure be adopted to assess a special tax of $65 per annum per parcel regardless of the size for up to two parcels owned by each unique landowner regardless of which county the parcels are located, the special tax will be assessed only if the Southern Cascades Community Services District is formed and shall be collected in the same manner as taxes on real property, commencing in the 2014-2015 fiscal year, with the revenue to be used for local ambulance, emergency medical response and training and any lawful purpose of the Southern Cascades Community Services District? (NOTE: Passage of a Special tax is required for the District to be formed.)

Shall Jack Hanson be recalled (removed) from the office of Board of Supervisor, 5th District?

Shall the existing special tax be repealed and replaced by a special property tax for fire suppression, prevention, rescue and emergency medical services within the Spalding Community Services District, as established by resolution 2012-4 be approved?”
