Shall the measure amending section 15 of the Fresno County Charter to keep the election dates for the office of Sheriff and District Attorney set in gubernatorial, non-presidential election years with other County elective offices be adopted?

Shall the measure to add new subdivision (f) to section 12 of the Fresno County Charter to provide the Fresno County Board of Supervisors the duty and power to name or change the name of geographic features or place names within the unincorporated portions of the County of Fresno be adopted?

Shall the measure expanding access in nursing, agriculture, criminology, science, engineering, other fields; repairing/upgrading campus facilities; providing safe drinking water; making campus more accessible for people with disabilities; providing scholarships for local students, veterans, by establishing a countywide ¼¢ sales tax, except in jurisdictions where the tax exceeds the combined rate limit, providing approximately $63,000,000 annually for 25 years with audits, public spending disclosure, be adopted?

Without raising tax rates, shall an ordinance to repair potholes, keep local roads in good condition; upgrade structurally declining bridges/overpasses; improve highway safety, 911 emergency vehicle access, air quality, public transit services; protect low-cost senior transportation options and create local jobs; be adopted, continuing the voter-approved transportation ½¢ sales tax (established 1986), providing approximately $228,000,000 annually for 30 years; requiring audits, public spending disclosure and local control?

Shall the measure to expand access and opportunities in nursing, agriculture, criminology, engineering/STEM programs; repair/upgrade academic and other campus facilities; provide safe drinking water; provide scholarships for local, low-income students and veterans by establishing a 0.2% sales tax countywide, except for the City of Reedley where the rate would be 0.025%, providing approximately $36,000,000 annually for 20 years with independent oversight, audits, public disclosure, be adopted?

Without raising tax rates and to maintain and upgrade humane animal care, basic needs such as food, heating, cooling, and safe habitats; protect threatened and endangered animals; maintain children's and school field trip programs; and keep entrance fees low; shall an ordinance be adopted to continue the voter-approved 1/10th of 1% sales tax, established in 2004, providing approximately $15,000,000 annually for fifteen additional years, and all proceeds exclusively for Fresno Chaffee Zoo?

Shall the Fresno County Charter be amended as follows: Amending section 16 to remove the Director of Public Works as county surveyor and authorizing the Director of Public Works to appoint a county surveyor.

Shall the Section 21 of the Fresno County Charter be amended to provide that the Chief Probation Officer shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the County Administrative Officer? 

Shall the Fresno County Charter be amended as follows: Amend section 16 to remove the Director of Public Works as county surveyor and authorizing Director of Public Works to appoint a county surveyor; Amend sections 14 and 16 to change the Public Administrator from an elected position to one appointed by the County Administrative Officer; Amend section 12(h) regarding a local preference for Fresno County goods, services and supplies; and Repeal section 32 obsolete language? 

To ensure the continuing success of Fresno Chaffee Zoo by providing necessary funding for repairs and maintenance, improved animal care, continuing the zoo’s Species Survival and Children’s Education Programs, maintaining low entrance fees, improving visitor amenities, and providing animals with safer more spacious natural habitats; shall Fresno County voters extend the existing 1/10th of one percent sales tax for ten additional years, with all proceeds exclusively for Fresno Chaffee Zoo?

Should the Fresno County Vehicle Abatement Program and vehicle registration fees (one dollar per vehicle and an additional two dollars for certain commercial vehicles payable upon registration of a vehicle) be renewed for a ten‐year term beginning July 1, 2014, for the abatement and removal of abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, or inoperative vehicles?

To protect libraries from state budget cuts by preventing library closures and reduced library hours; keeping qualified librarians; improving reading/literacy, job search programs/computer technology; providing neighborhood school-library joint programs, and maintaining services for children, seniors and the blind, shall Fresno County voters continue the voter-approved 1/8-cent sales tax for neighborhood libraries for sixteen years, with audits, citizen’s oversight, all funds staying in Fresno County and no tax rate increase?

Shall Fresno County Charter, Section 13, be amended to allow the County to employ independent contractors for services performed by County employees by majority vote of the Board of Supervisors and to read: SECTION 13: Notwithstanding Section 44 of this Charter or other provisions of law, the County may employ independent contractors to perform any County service, including service then being performed by County employees, with three affirmative votes of the Board of Supervisors?
