To provide funding for Arroyo Grande city services, such as: fixing potholes, maintaining city streets, sidewalks, parks, aging infrastructure, and community facilities; providing local fire protection, police, and 9:-1-1 emergency services; cleaning up litter/graffiti, and addres.sing homelessness; -shall City of Arroyo Grande's ordinance establishing a one-cent sales tax for 1 0 years be adopted, providing $6,000,000 annually for general government use that can't be taken by the State; witti citizen oversight, independent audits, and all money locally controlled?

To provide funding for general governmental use in Arroyo Grande, including maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, stormwater and drainage facilities, and for other City programs and facilities, shall an ordinance establishing a one percent sales tax be adopted, providing approximately $5,600,000 annually until ended by the City Council and requiring annual reports on revenues and expenditures, and review and public hearing by the City Council every five years on its necessity?

Shall the City of Arroyo Grande be authorized to purchase water from the State Water Project to supplement the City's existing water supplies during local water emergencies declared by the Arroyo Grande City Council?

WE THE PEOPLE of the City of Arroyo Grande declare our intent to restore our community to the historic principles of self-governance inherent in the doctrine of home-rule. Sincerely committed to the belief that local government has the closest affinity to the people governed, and firm in the conviction that the economic and fiscal independence of our local government will promote the health, safety and welfare of all the citizens of this City and better preserve its small town character and agricultural heritage, we do hereby exercise the express right granted by the Constitution of the State of California to enact and adopt this Charter for the City of Arroyo Grande.

Shall the City of Arroyo Grande fund construction of a new Police Station and refinance the 2003 Fire Station bonds by issuing 20-year bonds no to exceed $6,700,000 provided that the tax rate is maintained at or below the existing tax rate for the Fire Station bonds and a portion of the bond payments will be paid by revenues from the 2006 Local Sales Tax Measure?
