City of Carpinteria

Shall the measure protecting essential services including maintaining safe/clean public areas; repairing streets; addressing homelessness; emergency/disaster preparedness; maintaining sheriff's deputies; preserving library, senior, and youth programs; protecting beaches from pollution; other general government purposes; increasing Carpinteria's transient occupancy tax, paid only by hotel/motel/short-term rental guests, from 12% to 15%, generating $750,000 annually until ended by voters, requiring spending disclosures, all funds spent locally, be adopted?

Shall the Measure to Change and/or Readopt the City of Carpenteria's General Plan Designation and Zoning Designation for Two Parcels of City-Owned Property (APN 004-105-011 and APN 004-105-026) Located Adjacent to the Railroad Tracks to the West of Linden Avenue and to Amend the Definition of the Open Space/Recreation (OSR) Land Use Category of the General Plan Land Use Element be adopted?

To maintain sheriff's deputies; improve disaster preparedness/response and communication during wildfires, floods, and other natural disasters; repair streets, potholes; protect local beaches/creeks from water pollution; prevent cuts to local library, senior, youth programs; address homelessness; and other general services; shall the measure be adopted to establish a 1¼ȼ sales tax providing an estimated $2,300,000 annually until ended by voters; requiring annual audits, all funds for Carpinteria?

To help maintain essential City services such as street pothole repair, park maintenance, law enforcement, youth and senior programs, and other City services, shall the City of Carpinteria adopt an ordinance to raise the City's hotel bed tax (Transient Occupancy Tax) from ten to twelve percent, paid only by hotel guests on their room rates, with annual independent audits, local oversight, and no money going to Sacramento?
