Shall the measure to maintain Desert Hot Springs’ fiscal stability/general services, including maintaining 911 emergency/police response; anti-gang/drug programs; crime prevention/ investigation; disaster preparation; pothole repair; preventing road/bridge closures; homelessness prevention; attracting local businesses by keeping public areas clean, safe, well-lit; by establishing a 1₵ sales tax, providing approximately $2,400,000 annually until ended by voters, with public spending disclosure/all funds spent in Desert Hot Springs, be adopted?

Shall the Measure to select the Mayor of the City of Desert Hot Springs City Council annually for a one-year term with the procedure for rotation to be adopted by ordinance of the City Council, and all City Council seats to be a four-year term commencing in the year 2020 be adopted?

Shall the Measure to have a directly-elected Mayor by the people of Desert Hot Springs be a four-year term, rather than the current two-year term, with the directly-elected Mayor having a term limit of two terms, commencing in the year 2020 be adopted?

Shall an ordinance implementing an annual tax of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per square foot for the first 3,000 square feet and then 10 dollars ($10.00) per square foot for the remaining space utilized in connection with the cultivation of marijuana for medical or casual/recreational use, for the purpose of raising revenue to fund general municipal services, be adopted?

Shall an ordinance implementing a monthly ten percent (10%) tax on the proceeds from the sale/provision of marijuana for medical or casual/recreational use for the purpose of raising revenue to fund general municipal services be adopted?

Shall an ordinance implementing a one percent increase in the transaction and use tax for the purpose of funding general municipal services be adopted?

To address the City’s Fiscal Emergency and prevent a significant decline in the availability of “Public Safety Services” which includes: (a) police protection; (b) fire protection; (c) animal control; and (d) code enforcement, shall the City update its existing, voter-approved Public Safety parcel tax for vacant parcels only, at the rate of $372.68/acre, with annual audits and no tax increase for any other parcels?
