City of Moreno Valley

To maintain critical Moreno Valley services, including 9-1-1 response times, robbery/burglary prevention, neighborhood police patrols/fire service levels; address homelessness; repair streets/potholes; keep public areas safe/clean; help retain businesses; and for general government use, shall the measure establishing a locally-controlled 1¢ transaction and use (sales) tax, first enacted by local voters in 2021, generating approximately $30,000,000 annually until ended by voters, with audits/spending disclosure, be adopted?

Shall an ordinance be adopted to maintain 9-1-1 emergency response times, robbery/burglary prevention, neighborhood police patrols/fire engine service levels; address homelessness, repair potholes/streets; keep public areas safe/clean; help retain local businesses; maintain senior services, youth/afterschool programs, other general services by establishing a 1¢ sales tax, generating approximately $20,000,000 annually until ended by voters, with independent financial audits, public review of expenditures, all funds used locally?

Shall an ordinance be adopted maintaining safe, clean public areas/improving local services including neighborhood police patrols, fire, 911 response; gang, youth violence prevention, after-school programs; combat robberies/burglaries; repair potholes; unrestricted general revenue purposes; by establishing a tax not exceeding 8% of gross receipts /$15 per square foot for cultivation, generating approximately $2,200,000 annually until ended by voters, with independent audits, public review, all funds used locally?

To maintain community safety/quality neighborhoods by retaining police, firefighters, youth/senior services, drug/gang prevention, library, parks, street maintenance/other city services; shall an ordinance be adopted updating Moreno Valley's existing transient occupancy tax (hotel tax) from 8% to 13%, paid only by overnight hotel/lodging guests, providing $650,000 annually, that can only be ended by voters; requiring independent audits, financial oversight committee and all funds used locally?

Shall an ordinance be enacted to adopt term limits upon the members of the Moreno Valley City Council, preventing any person who serves three (3) successive terms from serving again until an intervening period of two (2) years has elapsed?

Shall members of the City Council of Moreno Valley be elected by districts described in Ordinance 879, and the Mayor of the City of Moreno Valley be elected on a citywide basis by the voters of the entire city?
