Shall the measure restoring/keeping sand on the beach, maintaining beach access for residents, reducing beach erosion; protecting ocean water quality, surfing/ocean swimming locations; restoring/maintaining beach trail, pier and lifeguard lifesaving equipment, helping protect San Clemente’s local beach economy, by establishing a dedicated 1/2¢ sales tax providing approximately $6,750,000 annually until ended by voters; requiring public spending disclosure, independent audits, all funds used locally and cannot be taken for other purposes, be adopted?

Shall the office of City Clerk be appointive?

Shall the office of City Treasurer be appointive?

Shall a measure be adopted limiting City Council service to two consecutive four-year terms with the ability to again serve as a member of the City Council after being off the City Council for no less than two years?

(INITIATIVE) Shall the ordinance be adopted to change the manner in which City Council members are elected from “at large” to “by district,” to establish a task force to recommend district boundaries, and to require a special election if the City Council does not adopt the task force’s recommendation?

Shall Ordinance No. 1657 be adopted to increase the transient occupancy tax (“TOT”) to 12½ percent in perpetuity, for an estimated annual increase of $570,000, and to clarify the definition of “hotels” that are subject to the tax?

Shall Ordinance No. 1627 be adopted to increase the transient occupancy tax (“TOT”) from its current rate of 10 percent to 13 percent in perpetuity, for an estimated annual increase of $570,000?
