City of Seal Beach

Shall the measure funding City of Seal Beach general services such as maintaining 911 medical emergency/police/ fire response, helping prevent property crimes/retail thefts; keeping public areas/beaches safe/clean; helping protect local water quality; reducing risk of flooding; retaining/supporting local businesses; addressing homelessness; repairing streets/potholes; by establishing a ½¢ sales tax providing approximately $3,000,000 annually until ended by voters; requiring audits, public spending disclosure, all funds spent for Seal Beach, be adopted?

To offset significant budget cuts and state takeaways and maintain City services, including community police patrols, paramedic services, fire protection, marine safety/lifeguards, school safety, 9-1-1 response times, and other essential general services, shall an ordinance be adopted for a one percent sales tax to raise approximately $5,000,000 annually until ended by voters, with independent audits to ensure transparency and funds spent only in Seal Beach?

Shall the City's Utility User Tax ("UUT") be lowered and the UUT ordinance be modernized to apply equally to all telecommunication services regardless of the type of technology used be approved?

Shall the City Charter be amended to specify that the position of City Clerk would be appointed, not elected? The City Council will have the option of determining whether the City Council or the City Manager would have the authority to appoint the City Clerk.
