City of South San Francisco

To maintain City services, such as: fire protection/paramedic emergency Yes response; neighborhood police patrols and services; pothole, street and road maintenance; parks and recreation programs; library programs and services; and for general government use; shall the City of South San Francisco ordinance be adopted modernizing the business license tax, with increases in No rates varying with the size of the business, as described in the ordinance, providing approximately $2,600,000 annually, until ended by voters, with annual audits and citizens' oversight?

Without increasing local taxes, shall the City of South San Francisco be authorized to develop, construct, and/or acquire affordable, decent, and safe rental housing for low-income persons, including families, seniors, people with disabilities, and veterans, in an amount up to 1% of the total number of existing housing units in the City of South San Francisco annually for an eight (8) year period, with any year's unused units being carried over each year?

Shall the measure imposing an annual tax on parcels of land in South San Francisco that are developed and used as commercial office parcels, as defined in the measure, and 25,000 square feet or larger, at a rate of $2.50 per square foot of parcel size, generating approximately $55,900,000 annually, not expiring automatically, to fund early learning and care for children (primarily aged 2.5 to 5) of families living or working in the South San Francisco Unified School District boundaries be adopted?

To maintain the quality of life in South San Francisco by providing services and improvements to accommodate visitors and residents, enhance public safety, community development, parks and recreation programs, street repair and traffic circulation, and for unrestricted general revenue purposes, shall an ordinance be adopted increasing the ongoing tax on hotel guests from 10% to 12% with a 1% increase each subsequent year up to a maximum rate of 14%, providing approximately an additional $5,920,000 annually?

To maintain the quality of life in South San Francisco by providing public safety services to address the impact of commercial cannabis operations permitted within the City and for unrestricted general revenue purposes, shall an ordinance be adopted establishing an ongoing business license tax on all cannabis businesses of no more than 5% of gross receipts to vary by each type of permitted business, providing approximately $100,000 to $700,000 or more in revenues annually?

To maintain South San Francisco services, including maintaining neighborhood police patrols/9-1-1 response, programs for seniors/disabled residents, crime/gang suppression programs, repairing potholes/streets, maintaining youth/teen educational/recreational programs, providing a police operations center that meets earthquake safety codes, and other city services; shall South San Francisco levy a 1/2 cent sales tax for 30 years, with authority to incur debt to accelerate projects, annual audits, citizens' oversight, no funds for Sacramento and all funds for South San Francisco?
