City of Truckee

To protect essential services such as keeping public areas, facilities, and parkways safe, clean and well maintained; protecting creeks and waterways from pollution; preparing for wildfires and natural disasters; expanding transit services like TART Connect; and for general government use, shall the Town of Truckee measure be adopted establishing a 1⁄2% sales tax, providing approximately $3,500,000 annually for 15 years, with independent audits and all funds locally controlled?

Shall the Town of Truckee measure to continue protecting open space along trails; constructing the Truckee River Legacy Trail; building, repairing and maintaining trails, multi-use paths, and lanes for walking, hiking, biking and winter access; and providing safer routes to schools; by renewing the existing ¼% trails sales tax at a rate of ½%, providing approximately $3,000,000 annually until ended by voters with independent oversight and all funds staying local to benefit Truckee, be adopted?

Shall the measure which, without increasing taxes on Truckee residents, increases by 2% the Town of Truckee's transient occupancy tax paid by hotel/short-term rental guests, generating approximately $700,000 annually for 20 years for general services such as providing housing that is affordable for workers needed to sustain Truckee's economy, preserving natural open space, and preparing Truckee for wildfires and other natural disasters, with independent audits and all funds spent in Truckee, be adopted?

To construct the Truckee River Legacy Trail; provide safe routes to schools; build and maintain paved and dirt trails for walking, running, biking, and winter use; provide safe and green transportation alternatives; and protect the environment and natural open space along trail corridors, shall the Town of Truckee increase the sales tax paid by visitors and residents by 1/4% for ten years with independent oversight, all funds staying in Truckee, and no funds taken by the State?
