City of Sebastopol

To maintain Sebastopol's City services such as 911 emergency medical/police/fire response, wildfire/emergency preparedness, maintenance of streets/roads, parks/trails, library, youth and senior services, retaining/attracting local businesses; and for general government use, shall the measure establishing a ½-cent sales tax generating approximately $1,520,000 annually, terminating after 12 years, requiring audits, public spending disclosure, all funds used locally, be adopted?

Without raising current tax rates, and to maintain City services including Police and Fire, 9-1-1 emergency services, park maintenance and repair, youth and senior recreation, and for unrestricted general revenue purposes, shall an ordinance be adopted to continue the existing Utility Users Tax at the current rate of 3.75%, by removing the sunset date until voters otherwise decide, providing approximately $700,000 annually that cannot be taken by the State?

Shall the measure to extend, until repealed by the voters, the previously approved City of Sebastopol’s 0.5% increase in transactions and use tax, which annually raises $1,400,000, be adopted?

Shall the measure to clarify and increase the City of Sebastopol’s transient occupancy tax by 2%, until repealed by the voters, which is estimated to annually raise $617,000, be adopted?

Shall the City of Sebastopol amend the current Utility User Tax ordinance by: reducing the tax from 4% to 3.75%; continuing the tax on gas and electricity which exempts low income persons; adding telecommunications, video and garbage services; to maintain essential general fund City services such as police and fire, improving roads, sewers, parks, bicycle/pedestrian infrastructure; requiring an independent audit; and no rate increase without voter approval; and terminating the tax in ten years?

To help preserve the safety, public services and quality of life of Sebastopol, and provide funding to maintain essential general fund services such as police, fire, street and road maintenance and repairs, flood prevention, park and open space maintenance, and other general community services, shall an ordinance be adopted increasing the City transactions and use tax by one half of one percent for a term of eight (8) years?
